The Montessori Wooden Number Cards 1–9000 with Box are a hands-on mathematics material designed to help children understand place value, number formation, and the decimal system through visual and tactile exploration.
The set includes wooden number cards representing units, tens, hundreds, and thousands. The different card sizes allow children to physically combine and layer values to build numbers from 1 through 9000, making abstract mathematical concepts easier to visualize and understand.
The traditional Montessori-inspired color coding helps distinguish place values and supports children as they progress from recognizing individual quantities to constructing larger multi-digit numbers.
Educational & Developmental Benefits
- Place Value: Introduces units, tens, hundreds, and thousands in a concrete visual format.
- Number Construction: Children can combine cards to create and read multi-digit numbers.
- Decimal System: Provides a hands-on introduction to the base-ten number system.
- Number Recognition: Reinforces recognition of written numerical symbols and their values.
- Mathematical Reasoning: Encourages children to understand how larger numbers are composed.
- Sequencing & Organization: Helps children recognize numerical order and relationships between place values.
- Concentration & Fine Motor Skills: Handling, selecting, and arranging the wooden cards encourages controlled movement and focused activity.
Wooden Storage Box
The included wooden compartment box keeps the different place-value cards separated, organized, and easily accessible during lessons.
Ideal for Montessori classrooms, preschools, elementary learning environments, homeschool education, and hands-on mathematics activities.
